Privacy Policy

BIL SURF (“we”, “us”) runs a surf house and surf camp at Plage Aghroud, between Aghroud and Tamri, Morocco. This policy explains what personal data we collect through bilsurf.com and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What we collect

• Booking requests: your chosen package, number of guests, check-in and check-out dates, first and last name, phone / WhatsApp number, email address, country and any special requests you share with us.
• Messages: what you send us by WhatsApp, phone, email or social media.
• Technical data: when you submit the booking form, our form system records your IP address and browser information to prevent spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs.
• During your stay: as required of accommodation providers in Morocco, we may record your identity document details on arrival and share them with the competent authorities.

We do not collect payment card details on this website.

3. How we use your data

• To answer your request, check availability and confirm your booking (steps taken at your request before and during our contract with you).
• To organise your stay: rooms, meals, surf lessons and transport.
• To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
• To protect the website against spam and misuse (our legitimate interest).

We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing emails without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what is necessary with:

• our website hosting provider (Hostinger);
• the email and messaging services we use to reply to you (for example Gmail, or WhatsApp when you choose to message us there);
• public authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside Morocco or the European Union and apply their own safeguards.

5. Cookies and third-party content

This website only uses technically necessary cookies and browser storage, for example to keep your progress in the multi-step booking form or to remember your chosen language. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Our Contact page shows an embedded Google Map. When it loads, Google may receive data such as your IP address, under Google’s privacy policy. Links to Instagram and Facebook take you to those platforms, which have their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep your data

• Booking requests that do not lead to a stay: up to 12 months.
• Confirmed bookings: for as long as needed to organise your stay and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

7. Your rights

Under Moroccan Law No. 09-08 and, for visitors from the EU, EEA or UK, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and receive a copy of it. Email us at bilsurfcamp@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days.

You can also lodge a complaint with the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel) in Morocco, or with the data protection authority in your country.

8. Security

The website is served over a secure HTTPS connection and we take reasonable measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Minors

Booking requests must be made by an adult (18 or over), including on behalf of any minors travelling with them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
