Travelling alone
A solo surf trip to Morocco at BIL SURF
A solo surf trip to Morocco is easier than it sounds. At BIL SURF you share the surf house, the lessons and the meals with travellers from all over the world, so there is always someone to surf with.

A day at the surf house
Mornings are for surfing: daily transport takes you to the spots along the coast for your lesson. The afternoon is free for the beach, a rest or a walk along the coast around Aghroud. Evenings bring shared meals, sunsets and, with the Full Experience and Premium packages, a sunset or social activity.
Meeting people
Shared dorms, a shared table and group surf lessons make it easy to meet other guests. If you travel alone, the Surf Discovery package with a bed in a shared dorm is the most affordable way to join, from €349 for 7 nights.
Is Morocco a good choice for a solo surf trip?
For many travellers, yes. The coast around Taghazout is one of the best-known surf areas in Morocco, with waves for every level from October to April and gentler waves in summer. In a surf house your days are organised: lessons, transport and, depending on your package, meals are taken care of, so you can simply enjoy the trip.

Beyond the surf
With the Premium package you also get a guided surf trip to a special spot, an excursion or activity, and a sunset rooftop experience. Further north, Imsouane and its very long right-hand wave make a great day trip; see our guide to the surf spots near Taghazout.
Practical tips for travelling alone
- Agadir Al Massira is the closest airport; an airport transfer is available on request, for an extra charge.
- Bring a swimsuit, sun cream and a warm layer for the evenings: boards and wetsuits are included.
- Travel insurance that covers surfing is strongly recommended.
