Lessons
Surf lessons in Morocco for every level
Our surf lessons in Morocco take place on the beaches and points around Aghroud, Taghazout and Tamri. Each package includes 5 or 6 lessons, a board, a wetsuit and daily transport to the spots, so you only need to bring a swimsuit and sun cream.

First lessons: beginners welcome
If you have never surfed, you start in the whitewater close to the beach, where you learn to paddle, catch your first waves and stand up safely. Our instructors choose the safest spot for your level each day, depending on the waves, the tide and the wind.
Improvers and intermediates
If you can already stand up, the lessons help you catch unbroken waves, turn and read the ocean. With the Premium package, a video-analysis session shows you what to work on, and a guided surf trip takes you to a special spot.
Where we surf
The coast around Aghroud has waves for every level: gentle beach breaks such as Imi Ouaddar and Tamri for learning, and famous right-hand points around Taghazout for experienced surfers. Tamri often has waves when the rest of the coast is small; the Tamri surf guide on mondo.surf describes it as one of the most consistent spots in the region. Discover them all in our guide to the surf spots near Taghazout.

Safety first
Surfing is a physical sport: you need to be able to swim and to follow your instructor’s advice at all times. Lesson times depend on the waves, the tide and the weather, and if conditions make a session unsafe, we reschedule it during your stay where possible. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The best time for surf lessons in Morocco
You can take surf lessons in Morocco all year round. Autumn and spring are ideal for beginners, winter brings the biggest swells for experienced surfers, and summer has smaller waves and warmer water, around 20 to 21°C.
